About The West San Gabriel Valley SELPA

The West San Gabriel (WSGV) Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) is an independent (not operating within a County Office of Education) consortium of 14 school districts located along the 210 and 10 freeway corridors. Our districts range in size from 1,005 to 15,747 students. Member districts' total combined enrollment is 83,156, of which 9,503 or 11% are students receiving services under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA).

Collaboratively, member districts and the WSGV SELPA are responsible for the operation of approximately 70 regionalized programs designed to meet the needs of our moderate to severely disabled students. These programs include, but not limited to: Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Orthopedic Impairment, Visual Impairment, Orientation and Mobility, Home & Hospital, Autism, GOALS, Early Start and Preschool programs.

The SELPA office is currently staffed by an Executive Director, Fiscal Director, Program Administrator, three Program Specialists, and two full time clerical staff.

DataQuest is the California Department of Education’s web-based data reporting system for publicly reporting information about California students, teachers, and schools. DataQuest provides access to a wide variety of reports, including school performance, test results, student enrollment, English learner, graduation and dropout, school staffing, course enrollment, and student misconduct data.
